This Friday, July 11 – frontman Jimmer Podrasky is heading back to Pittsburgh to perform for the FIRST time in over 20 years. At The Pittsburgh Winery for TWO Shows (7:00pm & 10:00pm) and one night only, The Optimists will open and Jimmer will be joined onstage by guitarist Steve Morrison (Affordable Floors), Steve Seel (A.T.S), Rod Schwartz (11th Hour), Dave Klug (11th Hour, Hector in Paris) and Terry Divelbliss (Seven Color Sky). They’ll be playing songs from Jimmer’s new CD, The Would Be Plans, as well as revisiting much of The Rave-Ups back catalog.

Jimmer Podrasky is best-known as the frontman/songwriter for the critically-acclaimed American band The Rave-Ups, whose EP “Class Tramp” and albums “Town and Country,” “The Book of Regrets” and “Chance” still have a devoted following more than twenty years after their release. After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University in 1980, Podrasky headed west and quickly made a name for himself as an alt country/indie-rock tunesmith and singer. With the Rave-Ups, Podrasky appeared in the iconic “Pretty in Pink” and on “Beverly Hills 90210.”

“The Would Be Plans” is his first official release in 23 years.
